Author Guidelines

First: Research Acceptance Process

  1. Manuscript Submission: The author submits the manuscript to the journal.

  2. Initial Screening: A member of the Editorial Board verifies that the manuscript is formatted according to the Wahj Al-Ulom for Pure Sciences journal template and adheres to the conditions and guidelines published on the journal’s website. The quality of the research is not evaluated at this stage.

  3. Editor-in-Chief Evaluation: The Editor-in-Chief ensures that the manuscript is suitable for publication in the journal and falls within its scope. If it is deemed outside the journal’s areas of specialization, it will be rejected without being sent for review.

  4. Plagiarism Check: The manuscript is screened using Turnitin software. If the similarity index is less than 20%, the manuscript proceeds to peer review; otherwise, it is rejected.

  5. Reviewer Selection: The Editor-in-Chief sends invitations to experts deemed suitable to evaluate the manuscript. Typically, two reviewers are invited, and approval to review is obtained within a specified timeframe.

  6. Reviewer Response: The reviewer examines the abstract, assesses their expertise in the field, and identifies any conflicts of interest, upon which they decide whether to accept or decline the review assignment.

  7. Review Process: The reviewer reads the manuscript multiple times. The first reading serves to form an initial impression. If major flaws are detected at this stage, the reviewer may recommend rejection without further review. Otherwise, the manuscript is read in detail several times, with notes taken to build a comprehensive evaluation. A review report is then submitted to the journal, including a recommendation to accept, reject, or request revisions (major or minor) before reconsideration.

  8. Editorial Assessment of Reviews: The Editor-in-Chief examines the review reports before making an overall decision. In cases of significant discrepancy between reviewers’ opinions, a third reviewer is consulted before reaching a final decision.

  9. Preliminary Decision: The Editor-in-Chief contacts the author to provide anonymized reviewer reports and requests revisions accordingly.

  10. Submission of Revised Manuscript: The author must address all requested changes.

  11. Final Decision: If the manuscript is accepted for publication, the author is required to pay the publication fee. The manuscript is then forwarded to the layout designer and subsequently to the publisher.
