Scope of Appeals and Complaints
Appeals and complaints are considered in the following cases:
- Rebuttals to editorial judgments on manuscript acceptance or rejection.
- Complaints regarding unjustified hold-ups in manuscript processing or review.
- Claims of wrongdoing or transgressions of peer review or publication ethics.
How Appeals and Complaints Are Handled
- The Editor-in-Chief and/or the handling editor should be the first people to receive the appeal or complaint.
- The journal's publishing authority should be contacted directly if the complaint pertains to the handling editor or the editor-in-chief.
- The journal's website's Contact Us page contains the responsible authority's contact information.
