Authorship Standards
ACMM is committed to the authorship criteria endorsed by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) to guarantee responsibility, integrity, and objectivity in scientific publication.
Authorship Conditions:
The following criteria need to be met to qualify as an author:
- Considerable contributions to the commencement or scheme of the work; or the data achievement, analysis, or interpretation.
- Drafting or revising the article for important intellectual content.
- Final approval of the manuscript to be published.
- Ensuring accuracy, integrity, and accountability for all aspects of the work.
Note: If only some but not all of these criteria are met (e.g., data collection, general support, funding, or supervision), contributors should be listed in the Acknowledgments section, not as authors.
Order of Authorship:
The order of authors is to be mutually agreed upon by all contributors and based on the actual contribution of each author.
After submission, any changes to authorship (removal, addition, or reordering) should be explained to the editorial office and approved by all listed authors in a written letter.
Corresponding Author:
One author to be nominated as the corresponding author, permitted for communication with the journal during submission, review, and publication.
All authors should approve the final manuscript and agree to its submission. This is to be ensured by the corresponding author.
Equal Contribution:
The journal allows recognition of equal contributions where applicable, e.g., “The authors contributed equally to this study”, and this should be indicated in a footnote.
Responsibilities and Misconduct:
All authors have collective responsibility for the published work.
If misconduct is suspected, all authors will be informed and may be held accountable for their actions.
