Abstract

This research aims mainly at having a knowledge about the content of predominant values of children plays written by Talal Hassan . The research sample has taken into consideration three plays that altogether contain (154) pages representing (30%) of what this author has written for teenagers (12 - 16 years old) .
In order to determine the predominant features in the dramatic acts , The researcher has adopted White's classification which is translated by Al - Ajeely (1985) .
After analyzing the research sample it was clear that the values were distributed on a value - based scale . The value of (vitality and activity) was the first on this scale with a repetition of (636) and percentage (16.94%) . The last value was the (job) one with repetition (1) and percentage (0.03 %) .
The researcher has explained only the first nine values which are considered predominant since they got the highest repetition , these values are (vitality and activity) , knowledge , similarity or matching , good behavior , people's love , control , determination , aggression , adaptation and reactive Security .
These values have been discussed according to their special values according to their fields of study .
